Well happy freaking new year!

Kat here!  Greetings from the warm south!  Florida has been kind to me and I am still in strappy shoes, and shorts!  I've started to network quite a bit here in Northern Florida and it became apparent really quickly that there were quality women here who have a shortage of friends.  So, without further delay, I am proud to announce the next chapter in the LWL saga: DESTIN.

MAY 14th is it!!!

Movie Night, Happy hour, Horseback riding, Volunteering, OH MY!!

So, November is going to be bananas!  There's so much going on with Thanksgiving, the unbottling of the Beaujolais Nouveau and social outings its going to be easy to lose my mind.  Won't you join me?

This Sunday, 10.10.10 come and get a free riding lesson just 30 minutes north of DC.  We will meet at 12:45 (don't be late, horses don't wait!).  Wear jeans, and boots, and although the weather says its going to be in the 70's, I'd bring a sweater just in case.  This is a co-ed event, so feel free to brings the friends that are boys.

This is a great FREE opportunity to get reaquainted with an equine before we go off to Virginia for our yippie ki yi yay pot luck adventure in November.

High tea was a success, and I would like to thank all the lovely Ladies Who Lush that came out to the Mandarin Oriental.  If you missed out, no worries as I plan to do tea at least once a quarter.  Hopefully each time the turn out will be bigger and better, and rest assure that it will always take place on a leisurely Sunday.

Whether you are new to the DMV (which I recently learned is the "district, maryland, and virginia") or a long time resident there might be a few things you have yet to try.  One jewel of an experience that I would like to share with you all is the High Tea time at the Mandarin Oriental.  High Tea is served Thursdays through Sundays from 2:30-4:30.  I believe the cost was approximately $35+ per person and included loads of biscuits and sandwiches.

Okay, so I was on the yelp dc threads today when we sparked an idea for an all girl group to get together.  I immediately jumped at this idea as my gf Bre in NYC has "Ladyhattan", a Manhattan based social networking group made up purely of strong, professional women in the NYC area.  I've always wanted to replicate her success in being the liaison between women here in DC.  After living here for a year, and getting my feet wet in what DC has to offer, here we go!
